The 49th Annual Bayou City Classic 10K and 5k Fun Run
Saturday\, March 7\, 2026**
**The 49th running of the Bayou City Classic 10K\, Texas' oldest 10K race\, will take place on Saturday\, March 7\, 2026 at 8AM (Hand-Cycle/Pushrim start is 7\:50AM). The 5K Fun Run/Walk will start at 8\:20AM (Hand-Cycle/Pushrim start is 8\:15AM).**
**The event takes place in the heart of downtown Houston (Hermann Square adjacent to City Hall). This is a family-friendly\, all-inclusive event. We invite EVERYONE to participate. Wheelchair/Pushrim participants are welcomed and encouraged. Full race details at www.bayoucityclassic.org.**

* Terrific post race party with food and beverages (including the adult kind) galore!
Proceeds from the Bayou City Classic are donated to the Houston Parks &\; Recreation Department to improve our city parks and preserve our trees. This non-profit event is organized by the **Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA)**\, an all volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote running as a competitive sport and a healthful exercise. The race has donated over $250\,000 for the Parks over the previous eight years!
