The Rambler120 is a fun challenging event that promotes teamwork and competition so start assembling your teams and training for a race through the Texas Hill Country. The event consists of a 22-mile bike ride, a 6-mile run across and 2-mile raft at the JBSA Recreation Park at Canyon Lake on Oct. 13. This adventure race includes several categories such as four-person Xtreme teams (must have at least one DOD ID cardholder), eight-person Relay teams (must have at least two DOD ID cardholders) and all active duty military Xtreme/Relay Military teams in three categories: all male, all female and coed. The event also includes category for individuals that want to participate.
All activities take place at Joint Base San Antonio Recreation Park at Canyon Lake.
TEAM CAPTAIN BRIEFINGS:
1. All Rambler 120 team captains and individual participants are required to attend a team briefing (if unable to attend, please send a representative)
2. Purpose: To inform captains the of rules, regulations and provide maps of the race. A breakdown will be given for the following: Lodging keys, parking, gate times, registration time, race start time, lunch and award presentation
3. When: JBSA - Randolph Bldg. 112 Conference room on Oct 9 @ 10 a.m. / JBSA - Fort Sam Houston Bldg. 124 Conference room (upstairs) on Oct 9 @ 1 p.m. / JBSA - Lackland Gateway Club (Officers area) on Oct 10 @ 10 a.m.
