About

The Fifth Annual Akins 5k

The fifth annual Akins 5k is a virtual Race - benefiting Austin, Texas' Akins ECHS Yearbook** and Akins Student Support Services***.
This year's theme is "EAGLESZN"

Our 3,500+ students at Akins ECHS represent the school 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This includes students from all seven academies and our 400+ seniors, the class of '24. See how 24/7 works?

Life is not a sprint, it's a marathon.... and to celebrate that we're hosting our 4th Annual Virtual Akins 5K.

Our 2024 t-shirt sponsor is just keep livin' Foundation - link

Who is this benefiting?

If you are running this race, you are:

  1. providing the financial means for some of our Seniors to do… well… typical Senior things: things like get a yearbook, take a college tour, have a cap & gown for graduation.
  2. helping Akins Yearbook students pay for contests and conferences where they can be recognized statewide and nationally for their skills.
  3. assisting our staff in being able to have staff t-shirts.

What will I receive?

All participants will receive a t-shirt with the 24/7 theme, specifically designed by Akins Yearbook.
