Relay Teams - get your packet from Trent inside the Fire Station at 6:30 AM on Race Morning. Do not be late!
The Maltese Mission invite you to join them at their annual 5K - it will be a hot one! This race is unique in that participants start and finish in the beautiful Mary Kyle Hartson Park, run or walk through the bays of Kyle Fire Department's Fire Station 1, and includes a bunked out relay.
All proceeds will go towards helping local firefighters and their families in need of assistance.
Attention Fire Personnel - grab two teammates and compete in our 5K Bunked Out Relay.
Rules for 5K Bunked Out Relay:
*3 member team, must register together
*1 miles each
*Members must be in bunker tops and bottoms (inner liner and outer shell)
*Bunker gloves
*Running shoes
*No helmet
*Teams must bring their own baton - extra prize for most creative
*Between 12"-16" long
*Up to 5 Lbs
*Keep it PG and family-friendly
*Teams are responsible for getting team members to and from exchange points:
*Exchange Point One: Scott and 3rd (on Scott)
*Exchange Point Two: Neighborhood Park in Stagecoach Crossing at 2 Mile Mark

Beat the Heat is a race organized by The Maltese Mission for firefighters in need. We are honored and grateful for the generous support we receive from all members of our community, including local political leaders.
To be clear, any contributions made by political figures are strictly charitable and go directly toward supporting firefighters and their families during times of need. These donations do not constitute an endorsement of any political platform, candidate, or party by the event or its organizers.

Parking is available on side streets around Mary Kyle Hartson Park. Please do not block mailboxes or driveways. Be courteous to our neighbors. Please do not park where there are cones blocking parking.
Must register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline to guarantee receipt of shirt requested.
Shirt Guarantee Deadline is 14 days before race day.
Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause. If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline.
Races start and finish at the Mary Kyle Hartson Park.
We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold.
5K and Relay are all chip timed.
Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Late registration is available during stated Packet Pickup times above.
If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online! When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.
Late Registration closes 15 minutes before race start time.
No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.
Packets may be picked up by another person.
All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.
Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.
All packets not retrieved by race start time will be considered donations.
We allow late starts up to 10 minutes after start time. If you are later than that and you choose to start, note that you may not have support, coverage, or directional markings, and you will not be timed - with love!
