At the halfway point, there will be a water stop, which is also where the Chute Challenge begins.

• If you registered for the regular 5K, continue running straight through.
• If you signed up for the Chute Challenge, veer right, remove your shoes at the designated table, grab a tube, and float down the chute.
• After exiting the chute, you’ll need to get out of the river, return to the table to retrieve your belongings, and continue the race to the finish line.

If you are registered for the Chute Challenge but decide to complete the race as a standard 5K without tubing, please inform a race timer as soon as possible.

Parking at Cypress Bend Park (503 Peace Ave.) is limited.

To accommodate participants, we have secured additional parking this year at the VFW (600 Peace Ave.), located just across the street.  Please do not park in the first two rows closest to the doors of the VFW so their members can access their building.  Also runners need to leave at the conclusion of the race and not plan to stay parked for the day. We are grateful for the use of this space!

Additional parking is also available:

• Along the right-hand side of the road leading up to the park, near the fence line
• At the end of the park near the VFW

Please plan to arrive early for the closest parking spots. The later you arrive, the farther you may need to park and walk. Some homes along Peace Avenue also offer paid parking options.
