The 34th Annual Run to the Beat 5K - Fundraiser for the Alamo Heights High School Band program.

 

Run or Walk and enjoy music played by AHHS Band students along the scenic route through the Alamo Heights neighborhood. Celebrating our 34th year!  

 

Entertainment: Alamo Heights High School and Junior School Band Members

Our Fundraiser

Funds raised from this event will help provide the band with equipment, guest conductors, and marching band show music, props, and design.  We also look to provide scholarships and to supplement student band fees.

Entry Fees

$30 - Until Feb 16, 2024
$35 - Feb 17- February 28
$40 Race Day

Packet Pickup

Date:         Friday, February 28, 2025

Time:         4pm-7:00pm

Location:  Band Hall at Alamo Heights High School (entrance by the steps into the AHHS Music Building on East Fair Oaks Place - look for the Packet Pick Up signs)

Race Day Schedule

7:00 AM        Packet pick up and On Site Registration 

8:00 AM        Run to the Beat 5K begins!

 

20 -30 minutes after the last finisher - Awards Ceremony

Top Female

Top Male

Top Master Female (40+)

Top Master Male (40+)

Age Group Awards

Age group awards will be presented to the top 3 females and top 3 males in the following age groups:  11 and under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.

Runners will only receive one award:  Top, Top Master, or age group award.  Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the race.   If unable to stay for the awards ceremony, please make arrangements for another person to pick up your award.

Course

5K....Winding through the picturesque Alamo Heights neighborhood.  Begins and ends at the Alamo Heights school district office parking lot - 7101 Broadway.

Participant Amenities

Tshirts

Participants registered by February 15th will receive a 2025 Run to the Beat short sleeve Tshirt in their requested size. 

Registering after February 15th - Available shirt sizes will be shown during the packet pick up process.  Once all shirts are distributed, there will not be any more available.  

No refunds or discounts will be given for those who register after Feb 15th and not receiving a tshirt in their preferred size, for any registered individual who registers after shirts are no longer available, for inclement weather or for the race being cancelled due to weather or other situations beyond the Band's control.  

Rally Towel

All finishers will receive a rally towel at the end of the race.
