In order to protect our participants from the perils of 2020, known and unknown (i.e. locusts, hurricanes, floods, fires, disease, tornados, firenados..etc) Turkey Trot will be a Virtual event this year!

5K, 10K, and 1Mi Walk/Runs ** Run anytime between November 14 and November 28th
As a part of your registration this year (for anyone 21 years and older) we are excited to include a chance to win a four-night stay at a new local bed and breakfast! Dove Nest is located on beautiful, private, peaceful acreage outside of Fredericksburg. Each adult who registers for an event will have their name added to our drawing. For more chances to win, you make make a donation in $30 increments. For each $30, you get a chance to win the prize! We will have a live drawing on November 29th on Facebook to determine the winner of our grand prize! We will announce the time of the drawing closer to the event date.

Run or walk anywhere you can, even at your local gym, but if possible, do it here in Fredericksburg and stay overnight so you can enjoy all our beautiful town has to offer! Choose your own course. You can log your time here on Athlete Guild, then post your pictures and times to our Facebook page! Wear a costume, bring your kids and or your dog, donkey, dinosaur, giraffe or whatever … have FUN with it! Other swag will be our famous soft T-Shirts complete with Turkey image, of course, and the unforgettable year of Turkey Trot 2020! Packets will be mailed to a single entrant in each group. We will probably ship all shirts to the eldest person at your address. Be sure to put your name, address and phone number on each entry in order to receive your shirts.
Turkey Trot is our annual fundraiser benefitting MOM Center of Fredericksburg. We are a pregnancy resource center, affiliated with Heartbeat International and CareNet. Our main focus is parenting education to break the cycle of abusive and dysfunctional parenting. Some additional services we provide include Free Pregnancy Testing, childhood behavioral modification classes, domestic violence and sexual assault support and adoption advocacy support. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all services provided are free of charge. We are networked with many local nonprofits and services including Good Samaritan Center, Christian Job Corp of Gillespie county, BCFS Education System Early Head Start program, Community Needs Council of Gillespie County, WIC and St. Vincent de Paul of Fredericksburg.

Entry Fees

Fees: $30 ages 13-over, $15 12-under

Registration opens Sept. 15 at noon and will remain open till noon on November 28th.

If you don’t have an account on athleteguild.com, set one up – make sure the email address you use is unique to you and hasn’t been used by someone else in your family.
Put on your turkey suit and gobble your Thanksgiving belly on out for a run.
Go for a run or walk specifically for the virtual run and clock your own time.
Login and head to your event page at athleteguild.com.
Click “results,” then look up your name and click “update.”
Enter your race time and click “submit.” (Results may not post immediately)
