Walk up registration welcome on July 3 during early packet pickup (3-6 pm) at 450 Haupt, Kyle Tx, and on race day (6-6:45 a.m. for 4 miler and 6-8:15 for 3K/1K) at 5940 McNaughton, Kyle Tx. Check in begins at 6:00AM 4 Miler Run/Walk with Camp Gladiator Functional Challenge begins at 7:00 AM 3K/1K Fun Run/Walk begins at 8:30 AM Awards in 10 year age brackets for 4-miler and 3K, beginning with 10 and under to 60 and over Special finisher awards for all those who participate in the Functional Challenges of the 4-miler, 3K, and 1K! 10 and under participants in any of the three events will receive a finisher award! NOTES to Participants: We are RAIN or SHINE :) We have one early Early Packet Pickup session: Friday, 3:00-6:00 pm at the Plum Creek Community Center, 450 Haupt, Kyle Tx 78640. Tell your friends they can register then, or on race morning! Day of Race Start and Finish for all 3 races is at Negley Elementary, 5940 McNaughton, Kyle Tx 78640 If you haven't been to Plum Creek before, turn in on Witte and drive all the way down the hill until it T's into McNaughton - you'll see us there... Prepare for the weather! Dress for your best race...Wear sunscreen! Plan to park behind the school or at the Rocking Horse lot. Please do not park along McNaughton or between Negley and Rocking Horse on Dickens as this will be part of all three race courses. On-site packet pickup and late registration, at the front of the school - starts at 6:00 and ends for 4-miler at 6:40, ends for 3K/1K at 8:15 a.m. There are a couple of restrooms at the McNaughton Pool, as well as port-a-potties in that park. You will have to walk down the street to the restrooms! 4 miler - be in the chute by 6:40 for a great warm up! 4-miler race starts at 7:00 a.m. sharp! There will be 6 functional challenge spots on the course – follow the arrows if you want to test yourself! Participate as much or as little as you like. Water stations will be near mile markers along the course. Watch out for water guns! 3K race will start at the start line in front of the school at 8:30 (this will be announced). There will be functional challenges at 2 spots on the course! Watch out for water guns! Water station: approximately Mile 1 1K race will start at the starting line after the 3K makes the first turn (this will be announced). Functional challenge at 1 spot on the course! Refueling will include water, fruit, and granola bars. Your bib gets you frozen treats from Lone Star Delights (fruit ice) and Pop'topia (all natural popsicles). Plum Creek Popsicle Run will include the option to test your skills at 6 functional challenges along the race course. Camp Gladiator Trainers are preparing 3 levels of each exercise so this will be something anyone can do! On July 4, this 4-miler event, with optional Camp Gladiator Functional Challenge, will start and finish at Negley Elementary in the Plum Creek neighborhood in Kyle, Texas. Participants will walk or run by and through some of the features of this master-planned development, including the pools, the golf course, the walking trail, the newest section of housing, and the playgrounds. For added fun, this run will include some functional challenges, at ability-appropriate levels, along the course. You can do none or one or more of the challenges prepared for you. Frozen treats will reward the participants at the finish line. In addition to the four-mile course, there will also be 3K and 1K options, so there is something for everybody in this family-friendly event. |
