NOTE to Half Marathon:

Elevation and mile markers notated here: https://www.mapmyfitness.com/routes/view/4334336872/ We do our best to have water at every mile (will confirm with more details the week of the race) and we will have a bag drop for you (you drop your back in the tub at the start, we'll drive it to the beginning of the second loop, and then drive it back to the finish).  Half Marathon course will close at 10:00; participants who expect to take longer than 3 hours need to alert fortheloveofgo@gmail.com; review the map linked above.   Streets will not be closed.  Use caution as you navigate the course.  There will be a bike lead.  Yes, the course is hilly!  Yes, there will be signs, chalk on the road, and volunteers.  All half marathon finishers will receive a medal, plus we will do age group awards.

Bag Drop:

On race morning, if you have items you would like to have available to you at the end of the first loop/beginning of the second loop (about 6.5 miles in), please put those items in a ziptop bag and clearly label with your name. On race morning, we’ll have some bags and sharpies if you don’t have any. Then, place the bag in the tub we’ll have at the start/finish line.  After you all take off, we’ll drive those over to the spot.  We can not guarantee we can get the items back to the finish line by the time you finish, but all items will be returned after the last person passes the second time and the volunteer (Sean) returns to the start/finish area.  You know the drill – we are not responsible for the items you send, we’re just some runners volunteering to put on a morning of races and thought this might be a cool idea.

Here are the hydration plans so far…. PLEASE BRING WHAT YOU NEED to survive the heat and humidity!

Water Stations – roughly after these mile markers – see map for locations:

2/8 – Water, Pickle Juice, Wet Shop Towels (disposable)

3/9 – Water, Wet Shop Towels (disposable)

4/10 – Water, Wet Shop Towels (disposable)

5/11 – Water

6/12 – Water, Wet Shop Towels (disposable)

6.5 (end of 1st loop)/12.5 – Bag Drop, Water, Gatorade, Various Chews/Gels, Wet Shop Towels (disposable)
