ABOUT THE EVENT
The Heart & Sole Epilepsy Walk/5K was created in memory of Alexandria Danielle Romeo who passed away as a result of a fatal seizure in November 2011. Join us as we raise awareness about epilepsy - a commonly misunderstood condition. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the programs & services of the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas.
Runners will enjoy a breathtaking 3.1 mile competitive chip-timed run through the rolling hills of Lakeway. Enjoy a brisk walk through the rolling hills andbeautiful landscape of Rough Hollow in Lakeway.Choose from the 5K route (3.1 miles) or theshortcut 1 mile route. Strut your stuff & raise awareness too!
Sleepers ? Don?t want to get up at the crack of dawn? No worries, there?s a place for you too! Join us as a ?sleep in for a cause? Virtual Walker. Help the cause without missing a wink of sleep!
ABOUT THE CAUSE
Every four minutes, a person in the U.S. is diagnosed with epilepsy. The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas leads the fight to stop seizures, to overcome the challenges created by epilepsy, & strives to create a safer community through education & awareness. Proceeds benefit the programs and services designed to improve quality of life for more than 130,000 people living with epilepsy in Central & South Texas.

Adults - $25 until 2/13, $35 therafter, Youth - $15 until 2/13, $25 thereafter
