5th Annual Run Feed Love 5K Run/Walk

5K Run/Walk presented by Gruene United Methodist Church is a race where 100% of the funds raised by the entry fees go to support local food and housing ministries in our area, they include: Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels and Steve's Pantry(the food ministries at Gruene UMC). The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund will go to the ongoing relief and recovery efforts of the Rio Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. 100% of the funds donated stay right here in Texas for both immediate and ongoing relief for years to come. Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels is a community response to family homelessness. It exist to support, guide and lift families out of homelessness and into safe housing, gainful employment and independence. Many families in the New Braunfels area exist on the brink of homelessness. In fact, over 900 children are identified as homeless in New Braunfels ISD and Comal ISD combined. Steve's Pantry is the food ministry at Gruene UMC which feeds hungry families and children who may not have access to other food resources. Our current ministries combined feed approximately 250 people a month. We donated over $10,000.00 last year from racers entry fee and helped feed hundreds of people! Your participation in this years race will help feed and love on those in need!
We will be accepting canned food donations again this year and every item that is brought you get you a ticket into the door prize of a specially made hat with the Run, Feed,Love logo on it plus more surprises!  Be sure to sign up early to ensure a shirt sized to fit!
