We hope this letter finds you well and receiving many little blessings throughout your day. First of all, we want to thank you all for your continued support of our company and the running community. It is your passion and our love for runners who place their trust in us that keeps us going when the unexpected glitch happens.
Usually we are able to work nonstop to find another way quietly behind the scenes to fix a major glitch. After dozens of races in San Antonio it doesn’t seem to be the case this time. Just like Texas weather for races, the course process is unpredictable. We love our city and will continue to help improve the process. But as we always do, we scrambled and talked with many folks to figure out a solution that would best honor our women runners who want to run, and also be able to get you all the great swag. So the sad news is the race will not happen this weekend, but GOOD NEWS is the race will go on. It will just be a lil later this year in the beautiful Texas fall. We are excited that the lemons have definitely turned into a sweet lemonade for you ladies.
We are heartbroken but look forward to a much better race situation. The new race date for the SPA GIRL HALF & 8k is Saturday morning, October 31st, 2020. We will host it at the amazingly relaxing home of SPA GIRL, the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa so we can spoil y’all a whole lot more in true SPA GIRL style & flare. Look soon for steeply discounted & comfy resort room deals and lovely spa discounts to make it a true and enjoyable race-cation weekend.
We hope you all will understand how hard this letter is to write to you as we so much enjoy seeing the sheer joy & excitement on your faces as you race & run. There maybe a few questions and we’ll get back to you just as soon as we are able. We’re just happy that we were able to find a positive solution to a tough, last minute situation that may just be a much better race experience. We appreciate y’all dearly and look forward to hosting everyone October 31st.
