Glow Run with Friends benefits our friends at Buda's Brightside! This is a 5K for EVERYONE, out and back, that will be lined with glowsticks!

Wear a headlamp, bring a flashlight, carry a lantern! We'll have glowsticks you can use to decorate yourself!

Buda's Brightside began 14 years ago as a small, person-centered Day-Hab for adults with developmental disabilities in the Hays County area. Previously named Terry's Day-Hab, A mother's heart began this mission, and everyone at Buda's Brightside is dedicated to keeping this community going!

OUR MISSION
Buda's Brightside is a Non-Profit aimed at empowering adults with disabilities through expanded social experiences while utilizing, community inclusion, educational development, and social enrichment.

FUTURE
We have clients in San Marcos, Wimberley, Driftwood, Kyle, and Buda. We’ve received requests from families to open locations within their communities. Multiple day habs are in our future hopes. Our current focus is on the work we are doing to develop a tiny home and residential community for our friends downtown Buda! We are so excited about having residential services IN the city! Our services will continue to be for all and we strive to expand as we are able because the need is so great.

5K Bib number 1007 or lower and Sleepwalkers and 1K Bib number 2038 and lower-- you are considered EARLY REGISTRATION -- that's the line you'll head to on Race Evening

All other numbers are considered LATE REGISTRATION and that’s where you'll head on Race Evening

Directions and Parking

Race starts and finishes at parking lot furthest west once you enter the park. Packet Pick Up and Walk Up Registration will be near Start/Finish. There is plenty of parking. NOTE: When you pull into the park entrance and follow the road to the right, pull into the parking lot AFTER the little pavilion at the roadside to park to be closest to the start/finish.

Must register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline to guarantee receipt of shirt requested.

Shirt Guarantee Deadline is 14 days before race day.

Extra shirts are ordered conservatively so as not to expend funds on shirts that could go to the cause. If having a shirt is important to you, please register by Shirt Guarantee Deadline.

Races start and finish at the address listed at the top of the page.

We are Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold.

5K is chip timed.

Kids’ Dash will not begin until all 5K participants have returned to the finish line.

Medals are not awarded to Kids’ Dash participants. All participants 10 and under receive a finisher token.

Online Early Registration will close 4 days before race day. Late registration is available until right before race start time.

If you register after early registration closes, you are considered late registration and you can still sign up online! When you get to packet pickup or race morning, follow the signs for Late Registration.

Late Registration closes 5 minutes before race start time.

No refunds, but you may transfer your registration to another person.

Packets may be picked up by another person.

All Registration Changes must be handled on race morning with the timing company.

If offered, Packets to be shipped will be shipped following the close of the race.

All packets not retrieved by the end of race morning will be donated to Hays Clothing Closet.
